POWER SOURCE This unit can be operated using either AC power or the built-in Li-Polymer rechargeable battery AC POWER OPERATION Plug the included AC adapter into the standard AC power outlet to power the unit. Connect small end to DC INPUT jack of main unit. After adapter connection, press the POWER button to turn on / off the unit. BATTERY (build-in) OPERATION Unplug the DC INPUT jack of main unit. The unit will enter Battery Operating mode automatically. LOW BATTERY INDICATION 1.
NOTE: These speakers are not magnetically shielded and may cause color distortion on the screen of some TVs or video monitors. To avoid this, you may need to move the speakers further away from the TV or monitor if unnatural color shifts or image distortion occurs. RADIO OPERATION 1. USE EARPHONES (NOT INCLUDED) Inserting the plug of your stereo headphones (not included) into the headphone jack located on the top panel will enable you to listen in private. When using headphones, the speakers will be disconnected. Read this Important Information before Using Your Headphones 1.) Avoid extended play at very high volume as it may impair your hearing. 2.) Recording from the built-in Radio 1. Slide the FUNCTION switch to "Radio" position. The POWER indicator will light. 2. Select the BAND switch to the desired band position. 3. Adjust the ANTENNA appropriately to obtain best reception 4. Insert the cassette into the Cassette Compartment. 5. Press the PAUSE button. 6. Press the RECORD button. 7. Release the PAUSE button to begin recording. 8. Adjust the VOLOUME, if necessary. 9. To stop recording, press STOP/EJECT button.

Cleaning the Tape Heads and Tape Path For continued high performance from your cassette deck, periodically clean the head, pinch roller, and capstan. We recommend cleaning after every 20-30 hours of operation. To clean the tape deck, press the STOP/EJECT key to open the deck door. Remove any tape in the deck. Make sure that the power to the unit is OFF. Moisten a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol or a special head cleaning fluid.
