Installation
⚠WARNING
Be sure equipment is properly grounded.
Do not use an extension cord with this product.
Explosion hazard. Do not use this fan in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified person(s) in accordance with all
applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.
Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney)
of fuel burning equipment to prevent back drafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer's
guideline and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection
Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.
The fan frame and motor must be electrically grounded to a suitable electrical ground, such as a
grounded water pipe or ground wire system.
Install in interior wall. Not for use in kitchens.
Be sure fan is mounted at least 7 feet above floor.
Tools & Materials Needed
• Mounting Fasteners (8)
• Sealant or Caulk
• Regular Screw Driver Set
1. The unit should be securely mounted in a rigid framework.
Note: Allowing the fan frame to flex or move will result in undue vibrations and possible premature
motor, propeller, or shutter failure.
2. Install any auxiliary components such as thermostats, switches, or speed controls.
3. Connect power to the motor, using an approved wiring method.
