Before Use
Inspect the sharpener for good working condition.
After Use
Store it in a dry and clean place.
Wipe external surfaces of the sharpener with a clean cloth.
Troubleshooting
Use the table below to troubleshoot problems before contacting service personnel or your local
dealer. If the problem continues after troubleshooting, call your local dealer for assistance.

Sharpener will
not start.
Cord not connected.
Check that cord is plugged in.
No power at outlet.
Check power at outlet. If outlet is
unpowered, turn off tool and check
circuit breaker. If breaker is tripped,
make sure circuit is right capacity for
sharpener and circuit has no other
loads.
Internal damage or wear. (Carbon
brushes or switch, for example.)
Have technician service sharpener.
Sharpener
operates slowly.
Extension cord too long or wire size too
small.
Eliminate use of extension cord. If an
extension cord is needed, use one with
the proper diameter for its length and
load.
Sharpener is
overheating.
Forcing sharpener to work too fast.
Allow sharpener to work at its own rate.
Accessory dull or damaged.
Keep cutting accessories sharp.
Replace as needed.
