When the system is connected correctly, the controller’s Power Out indicator illuminates.
Note: Do not connect the battery cables directly to the solar panels.
Do not connect any power supply directly to the solar panels.
4. As the system charges, observe the indicators on the controller:
The Percent indicator light displays battery capacity (25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%). When the
battery charge is very low the indicator will not display any percentage.
The Power Out indicator illuminates when the system connections are correct and power is
being supplied to the controller and to the battery or other load.
5. When disconnecting the system, cover the solar panel to prevent arcing during disconnection,
then disconnect the solar panel first, then the battery, and the load.
After Each Use
Clean the controller, solar panel, battery clamps and other parts of dirt and debris to prepare it for
the next use. Wipe the components with a damp cloth but DO NOT use soap or solvents.
Dry the components so that no moisture remains to possibly corrode the electrical connections.
Store the controller and other system components when it is not in use. Store them in a dry, secure
place out of the reach of children. Inspect the components for good working condition prior to storage
and again before use.
