❖ What else do I need?
Smart card
If you wish to view premium services, you will need a smart card. This
is available from your service provider, Viasat.
Satellite dish
You will need a correctly-installed satellite dish, pointing at the correct
satellite(s).
◆ If you have a satellite dish but it is not pointing at the correct
satellite(s), you will need to make adjustments. Please see the
information supplied with your dish/LNB for details on how to
do this, or seek professional advice.
◆ If you do not have a satellite dish installed, please ask your dealer
to recommend a local dish-installation engineer.
Single LNB
If you have one LNB only, to ensure the simplest installation method,
and for the best Viasat channel line-up, you should use the ‘Sirius’
satellite, at 5° East. However, if you prefer, you can set up your system
for any one of the four satellites listed in the LNB positions table below.
Multiple LNB set-up
If you are using a DiSEqC™ unit* with 2 or more LNBs/satellite dishes,
to ensure a simpler installation, and for the best Viasat channel line-up,
you should connect up the LNBs to the DiSEqC™ ports as shown in
the LNB positions table below.
You must then connect your DiSEqC™ unit to the satellite input on
your set-top box (see also pages 10 to 12).
