MUST READ BEFORE OPERATING POST DRIVER
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Check to see if any dirt or material is lodged in the air inlet fitting by unscrewing air inlet fitting. If needed, clean or
replace.
2. Screw inlet fitting back into position.
3. Attach air hose to air compressor. Air compressor should range between 80 and 110 PSI.
4. Place Striker Post Driver on top of post. Use adaptors as needed.
5. Turn air compressor on.
6. Once in position, press thumb valve which will raise the post driver.
7. Check level gauge in both horizontal planes.
8. Release thumb valve which will release the post driver downward; driving the post into the ground.
9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until post is at ideal depth.
10. Carefully lift Striker Post Driver off post.
SAFETY and CARE GUIDELINES
Underground utilities: Know where all underground utilities are before driving any post to avoid hitting utility lines.
Utilities include but are not limited to electric, gas, telephone, water, sewer, cable, lawn sprinklers, etc. Hitting an
underground utility could be dangerous for the operator and others.
Safety Equipment: It is recommended that the operator wear a hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, back
support, and any other safety equipment advised by, ANSI, NIOSH, OSHA, personal medical requirements, any
other safety regulatory agency, or the employer/owner of this post driver. Always put safety first!
Safety Labels: If your post driver’s safety and operating labels are marred, removed, or destroyed, replace it
immediately. Simply call Striker Post Driver (888) EZ-STRIKER (888-397-8745) and we will send you a new label.
Product Weight: Striker Post Driver is approximately 60 lbs. Even though it is designed for one operator, it is
recommended that you use lift equipment and/or an extra person(s) to assist as necessary with lifting the driver on
and off the post.
Adapters: Striker Post Driver is designed for 2 lb/ft metal posts. Adapters are available for most other sized metal
posts (examples: T-Posts, sign, fencing, square and round posts). Use adapters only provided by Striker Post
Driver at www.strikerpostdriver.com. An adapter that does not fit the Striker Post Driver properly may damage the
driver.
Air Hose: It is recommended that you use a ¼” double braid air hose with an oil resistant lining to supply your post
driver. Striker Post Driver part number P2017.
Lubrication: It is recommended that you add an oiler to the air line when operating.

WARRANTY
You have purchased a quality post driver. If you follow your Striker Post Driver operating and safety and care guidelines, it
will provide efficient, trouble-free operation. The Striker Post Driver mechanical components are warranted against defects
in material and workmanship for 1 year from date of purchase. Purchased components (valves, timer) are covered per
supplier warranties. Under warranty, Striker Tools will repair unit at no service or material charge. Owner will be
responsible for return shipping charges. Any problems related to misuse are not covered by this warranty.
