Protecting Your Stretta Countertop

Do not use your Stretta countertop as a cutting board.
Knives and other sharp utensils could slice or scratch the countertop surface
Always use a cutting board for chopping, cutting, pounding and hammering
Do not slide abrasive items across your Stretta countertop.
Use a placemat or other protective underlay with rough bottomed objects including
ceramics and earthenware to protect against scratches
Do not use scouring pads or steel wool on your Stretta countertop
Do not drop objects on your Stretta countertop.
Heavy impact can chip or crack the surface
Do not use clearners containing acid, alkail or bleach
This includes cleaners made for toilets, tubs, tile, ovens, rust, metal, ceramic cook tops, and
lime / mineral deposits
Do not allow bottles, rags, or anything else that may have harsh chemicals to contact your
Stretta countertop. This includes hair dyes, clothing dyes and food coloring
Caring for your Stretta Countertop
For everyday cleaning:
Use a clean, damp, non-abrasive cloth with a mild detergent or household cleaner
To remove stuck-on residue, scrub with a nylon-bristled brush
For difcult stains:
Apply a paste of baking soda and water to draw out the stain. Then, blot away with a
damp cloth. Don’t rub the stain, as it may scratch the surface of your countertop.
You may use solvents such as denatured alcohol or nail polish remover on your Stretta
countertop to remove pen or pencil stains. Use a samll amount and repeat until the stain
is removed. Rinse the surface thoroughly. Then clean as usual.
Do not place hot items directly on your Stretta countertop.
Use a hot pad or trivet to avoid placing hot pans or dishes, hated appliances, or heated
objects directly on the surface of the countertop
Do not allow lighted cigarettes to contact the countertop surface
Do not place curling irons or hot rollers directly on the surface of your countertop
Do not iron or place a hot iron on the countertop surface
Clean up liquids immediately. Do not allow water to pool on the surfaces of your
Stetta countertop.
Pooling water, especially near seams can lead to swelling and warping
