To ensure that the bathtub is not supported solely by its rim, it's essential to
maintain a minimum gap of 1/16'' (2mm) between the framing and the underside
of the tub. If you are using leveling feet, we recommend adjusting them to
maintain this gap. If leveling feet are not in use, you can place 1/8-1/16'' wooden
shims on top of the finished deck at the points where the tub rim will meet the
deck until the installation is complete.
Two common methods for securing the bathtub are a mortar bed or
construction adhesive. Alternative methods are also available, depending on the
specific installation site. Please consult with a certified plumber/installer.
