7. Place a piece of scrap lumber on each of the ends of the frame cutout – this
will be used as a temporary support before lowering the bathtub fully into
the opening.
There are two methods available to ensure that the bathtub is level within the
frame:

Depending on the specific plumbing and flooring conditions in your installation
area, you can utilize the leveling foot hardware included with the bathtub. The
key benefit of this approach is that it allows the tub to be supported by the
leveling feet instead of its shell. This installation method also eliminates the
mortar/cement compound requirement since the leveling feet can be securely
attached to the floor using construction adhesive. Furthermore, it enables precise
adjustments to maintain a 1/16'' (2mm) gap between the bath rim and framing,
ensuring that the deck does not bear the tub's weight.
