WARNING: Use of light in “strobe” mode may cause seizure in
persons with photosensitive epilepsy.
CAUTION: The ProTac
®
HLP USB provides a powerful beam. When
operated for a long time, it will get uncomfortably warm. This is
NORMAL and is not a defect. Any LED flashlight of similar size and
performance will produce similar amounts of heat during operation.
The only way to reduce operating heat is to SIGNIFICANTLY lower
the output, or increase the size of the flashlight. While this heating
may trigger the drop reflex if an unattended hot light is picked up, the
temperature does not present a burn hazard. When used tactically for
short periods of time to clear a room, check for intruders, etc., heating
will not be a problem.
GENERAL OPERATION
The ProTac
®
HLP USB features a programmable switch with
momentary operation (light press or tap) and constant on operation
(press until click). The light is shipped from the factory in the default
High-Strobe-Low program.
• High: Tap and hold; click to lock on; click again for off.
• Strobe: Fast double-tap (within 0.4 seconds) and hold;
click to lock on; click again for off.
• Low: Fast triple-tap (within 0.4 seconds per tap) and hold;
click to lock on; click again for off.
Accessing Other Programs
The ProTac
®
HLP USB features a TEN-TAP
®
programmable switch
allowing the user to select one of three different programs. To change
to the next program, starting from the “Off” position, tap the switch
rapidly 9 times (within 0.4 seconds per tap) and hold it down the 10th
time. Continue holding the switch until the light turns off (approxi-
mately 1 second), then release the switch.
Available programs are High-Strobe-Low (Factory Default), High Only
or Low-Medium-High.
Charging the Streamlight Lithium Ion Battery
To charge the included Streamlight lithium ion battery (Part #74175),
slide the stepped cover on the neck of the light back until it stops,
exposing the micro USB connector and charge indicator LED.
Using the supplied cord, plug the micro USB connector into the
mating socket on the light. For easy plug alignment, align the “SL” on
the cord’s micro USB plug with the “SL” engraved on the barrel of the
light. Then, plug the standard USB connector into a USB port on your
computer or other USB accessible port.
If you have Streamlight’s USB/AC charger, you can plug the USB con-
nector into the wall plug adapter and charge the light using AC power.
Charge Indication LED
Light features a charge indictor LED:
- LED Red: Charging
- LED Green: Fully Charged
Note:
When charging a Streamlight Protac
®
HLP USB that has been
completely exhausted, the charge indicator LED will initially remain
green for 7-10 minutes. Normal charging indication (Red LED lit) will
resume once battery pre-charge is complete.
Charge Time
The light has a digital control circuit that prevents overcharge.
The battery fully recharges in 7 hours with the Streamlight AC/USB
Charger and charges the battery in the light.
NOTE: The 7 hour charge time assumes 1000 mA output of the
AC/USB charger. (Most computer USB power ports range from 100
to 500 mA.)
ALTERNATE BATTERY OPTIONS
If you don’t have a charging source available, you can remove the
Streamlight lithium ion rechargeable battery and use either two 3V
CR123A batteries or one “lithium Ion 18650 protected cylindrical
3.7V 2200mAh “button top” rechargeable battery”
NOTE: Do not use rechargeable CR123 batteries in the light as the
reduced mAh rating of the cells will result is very poor run time.
Replace the Streamlight Lithium Ion Cell with Primary
CR123A Batteries
Remove the tail cap. A light shake of the barrel in a downward manner
into your hand will release the Streamlight lithium ion cell from the
patented cell-centering fingers.
Place the CR123 batteries into the tube, positive end first, and replace
the tail cap. While the light will function the same as if the lithium ion
cell is in the light, run times will be affected.
There is no risk of accidentally charging the CR123A cells in the
light as the patented design protects the cells from being able to be
charged.
Replace the Streamlight Lithium Ion Cell with a Commercially
Available Lithium Ion cell
The light will also function if you install a commercially available
“lithium Ion 18650 protected cylindrical 3.7V 2600mAh “button top”
rechargeable battery” that has its own charging cradle system.
(Note: These type of cells will not charge in the light.)
Remove and replace the Streamlight cell as instructed above for
Primary CR123A batteries.
Charging LED Function with Alternate Batteries Installed
If CR123A batteries or a commercially available lithium ion battery
are placed in the light and the micro USB power cord is plugged in,
the LED charge indicator will immediately glow Green. Please note
that it will NOT charge the CR123A batteries or commercially available
lithium ion cell.
Run Time Note
There is “no end of run time notification.” The light will simply turn off
when the battery power is fully depleted.
Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty
Streamlight warrants this product to be free of defects for a lifetime
of use except for batteries and bulbs, abuse and normal wear. We will
repair, replace or refund the purchase price of this product should
we determine it to be defective. This limited lifetime warranty also
excludes rechargeable batteries, chargers, switches and electronics
which have a 2 year warranty with proof of purchase. THIS IS THE
ONLY WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR

HLP USB proporciona un haz potente.
Cuando funciona durante un periodo prolongado, alcanzará una tem-
peratura caliente que resulta incómoda. Esto es NORMAL y no se trata
de un defecto. Cualquier linterna LED de tamaño y rendimiento simi-
lares producirá cantidades similares de calor durante el funcionamien-
to. La única manera de reducir el calor de funcionamiento consiste en
reducir SIGNIFICATIVAMENTE la potencia o aumentar el tamaño de la
linterna. Si bien este calor podría provocar el reflejo de dejarla caer,

FUNCIONAMIENTO GENERAL
La ProTac
®
HLP USB cuenta con un interruptor programable
con funcionamiento momentáneo (pulsación o toque ligero) y
funcionamiento activo constante (pulse hasta oír un chasquido).
La linterna se envía de fábrica en el programa Alto-Estroboscópico-
Bajo predeterminado.
• Alto: Pulse y mantenga pulsado el interruptor; haga clic para man-
tenerla encendida; vuelva a hacer clic para apagarla.
• Estroboscópico: Pulse dos veces rápidamente (no deben transcurrir
más de 4 milésimas de segundo entre cada una) y mantenga
apretado el interruptor; haga clic para mantenerla encendida; vuelva
a hacer clic para apagarla.
• Bajo: Pulse tres veces rápidamente (no deben transcurrir más de 4
milésimas de segundo entre cada pulsación) y mantenga pulsado el
interruptor; haga clic para mantenerla encendida; vuelva a hacer clic
para apagarla.
Acceso a otros programas
La ProTac
®
HLP USB dispone de un interruptor programable de diez
pulsaciones TEN-TAP
®
que permite al usuario seleccionar uno de
entre tres programas diferentes. Para cambiar al siguiente programa,
comenzando desde la posición de apagado, pulse el interruptor con
rapidez 9 veces (no deben transcurrir más de 4 milésimas de segundo
entre cada pulsación) y mantenga pulsado el interruptor la décima vez.
Mantenga el interruptor pulsado hasta que se apague la luz (aproxima-
damente 1 segundo); a continuación, suelte el interruptor.
Estos son los programas disponibles Alto-Estroboscópico-Bajo
(predeterminado de fábrica), Alto solamente o Bajo-Medio-Alto.
Carga de la pila de ión-litio Streamlight
Para cargar la pila de ión-litio Streamlight incluida (Número de refer-
encia 74175), deslice la tapa escalonada del cuello de la linterna hacia
atrás hasta que se detenga, exponiendo el micro conector USB
y el LED indicador de carga.
Enchufe, con el cable que se proporciona, el micro conector USB
a la toma correspondiente situada en la linterna. Para facilitar la
alineación del enchufe, alinee las letras “SL” en el micro enchufe USB
del cable con las letras “SL” grabadas en el cilindro de la linterna. A
continuación, enchufe el conector USB estándar en un puerto USB de
su equipo o cualquier otro puerto con USB.
Si tiene el cargador de CA/USB Streamlight, puede enchufar el
conector USB en el adaptador del enchufe de pared y cargar la interna
mediante la alimentación CA.
LED indicador de carga
La linterna cuenta con un LED indicador de carga:
- LED rojo: Cargando
- LED verde: Completamente cargado
Nota:
Al cargar un USB ProTac
®
HLP de Streamlight que se ha agotado
por completo, el LED indicador de carga permanecerá iluminado de
color verde inicialmente durante 7 a 10 minutos. Una vez finalizada la
precarga de la pila, volverá a verse la indicación de carga normal (LED
rojo encendido).
Tiempo de carga
La linterna tiene un circuito de control digital que evita que se
sobrecargue. La batería se recarga por completo en 7 horas con el
cargador de CA/USB Streamlight y carga la pila de la linterna.
NOTA: El tiempo de carga de 7 horas asume la presencia de un car-
gador de CA/USB con una potencia de 1,000 mA. (La mayoría de los
puertos de alimentación USB de los ordenadores tienen una potencia
que oscila entre 100 y 500 mAh.)
OTRAS OPCIONES DE PILAS
Si no dispone de una fuente de carga, puede extraer la pila recargable
de ión-litio Streamlight y utilizar o bien dos pilas CR123A de 3 V o una
pila “recargable de botón de ión-litio 18650 protegida cilíndrica de 3.7
V, 2200 mAh”.
NOTA: No utilice pilas CR123 recargables en la linterna, ya que el valor
reducido de mAh de las células hará que el tiempo de funcionamiento
sea bajo.
Sustituya la célula de ión-litio Streamlight por pilas CR123A
primarias
Retire la base. Al agitar ligeramente el cilindro hacia abajo en la mano
soltará la célula de ión-litio Streamlight de los dedos de centrado de la
célula patentados.
Coloque las pilas CR123 en el tubo, extremo positivo en primer lugar,
y vuelva a colocar la base. Si bien la linterna funcionará igual que si
la célula de ión-litio estuviera en la linterna, los tiempos de funciona-
miento se verán afectados.
No existe riesgo de cargar accidentalmente las células CR123A de la
linterna dado que el diseño patentado evita que las células se carguen.
Sustituya la célula de ión-litio Streamlight por una célula de
ión-litio disponible en el mercado
La linterna también funcionará si instala la “pila recargable de botón
de ión-litio 18650 protegida cilíndrica de 3,7 V, 2600 mAh” disponible
en el mercado que cuenta con su propio sistema de base de carga.
(Nota: Este tipo de células no cargarán en la linterna.)
Extraiga y sustituya la célula Streamlight tal como se indica más arriba
para las pilas CR123A primarias.
Función de LED de carga con pilas alternativas instaladas
Si se colocan pilas CR123A o pilas de ión-litio disponibles en el
mercado en la linterna y el cable de alimentación del micro USB está
enchufado, el indicador de carga LED se iluminará inmediatamente de
color verde. Tenga en cuenta que NO cargará las pilas CR123A ni la
célula de ión-litio disponible en el mercado.
Nota relativa al tiempo de funcionamiento
No se produce ninguna notificación para indicar “la finalización del
tiempo de funcionamiento”. La linterna simplemente se apagará
cuando se agote la energía de la pila.
Garantía limitada de por vida de Streamlight
Streamlight garantiza que este producto está libre de defecto durante
su vida útil a excepción de las pilas y bombillas, o por abuso y
desgaste normal. Repararemos, sustituiremos o reembolsaremos

Quand utilisée pendant longtemps, elle deviendra trop chaude. Ceci est
NORMAL et n’est pas un défaut. Toute lampe DEL de taille et de perfor-
mance semblables produira des quantités semblables de chaleur pendant
le fonctionnement. La seule façon de réduire la chaleur de fonctionne-
ment est de diminuer CONSIDÉRABLEMENT la sortie ou d’augmenter la
taille de la lampe. Tandis que cette chaleur peut déclencher le réflexe de
chute si une lampe chaude sans supervision est ramassée, la température
ne présente pas de danger de brûlure. Quand utilisée tactiquement pen-
dant de courtes périodes pour vider une pièce, repérer des intrus, etc., la
chaleur ne sera pas un problème.
FONCTIONNEMENT GÉNÉRAL
La lampe ProTac
®
HLP USB est munie d’un interrupteur programmable
avec un fonctionnement momentané (appuyer ou taper légèrement) et un
fonctionnement constamment allumé (appuyez jusqu’au déclic). La lampe
est expédiée de l’usine dans le programme par défaut High-Strobe-Low
(Fort-Stroboscope-Bas).
• Fort : Taper et maintenir ; cliquer pour verrouiller sur « on » ; cliquer à
nouveau pour « off ».
• Stroboscope : Taper rapidement à deux reprises (en moins de 0,4
seconde) et maintenir ; cliquer pour verrouiller sur « on » ; cliquer à
nouveau pour « off ».
• Bas : Taper rapidement à trois reprises (en moins de 0,4 secondes par
pression) et maintenir ; cliquer pour verrouiller sur « on » ; cliquer à
nouveau pour « off ».
Accès aux autres programmes
La lampe ProTac
®
HLP USB est munie d’un interrupteur programmable
TEN-TAP
®
permettant à l’utilisateur de sélectionner un des trois pro-
grammes différents. Pour passer au programme suivant, en commençant
par la position « Off », taper sur l’interrupteur rapidement à 9 reprises
(en moins de 0,4 seconde par pression) et le maintenir enfoncé à la 10è
reprise. Continuer de maintenir l’interrupteur jusqu’à ce que la lampe
s’éteigne (approximativement 1 seconde), puis relâcher l’interrupteur.
Les programmes disponibles sont : High-Strobe-Low (programme par
défaut d’usine), High uniquement ou Low-Medium-High.
Chargement de la pile Streamlight lithium ion :
Pour charger la pile Streamlight lithium ion fournie (Réf. 74175), faire
glisser le couvercle échelonné sur le col du dos de la lampe jusqu’à ce
qu’il s’arrête, exposant ainsi le micro connecteur USB et charger la DEL
de l’indicateur.
À l’aide du cordon fourni, brancher le connecteur Micro USB dans la
prise correspondante de l’éclairage. Pour faciliter l’alignement des fiches,
aligner le « SL » sur la micro fiche USB du cordon sur le « SL » gravé sur
le corps de la lampe. Brancher ensuite le connecteur USB standard sur le
port USB de l’ordinateur ou d’un autre port USB disponible.
