Leave Time ..................... The time between transmissions before the ACU will acknowledge the iTX is
out of range.
LOCK .............................. Unit Access Controller. This device is used to access Function Mode on an
ACU, turn the ACU off and to reset the strap tamper alarm on an iTX.
Baseplate........................ The piece that holds the strap around the ankle and which locks securely to
the iTX.
Memory........................... The location in the ACU where events are stored. The ACU can store up to
2500 events.
Passive ........................... The ability of the ACU to monitor a participant without being attached to a
telephone line.
iTX .................................. iTRX Series transmitter. This device attaches to the participant’s leg and
identifies the presence of the participant to the ACU.
ACU ................................ iTRX Series receiver. This device is placed in the area of confinement, and
monitors their activity via the iTX.
Range ............................. This is a value between 1 - 255 that indicates the RF signal strength between
the iTX and the ACU.
Reset (iTX)...................... The act of clearing the strap sever and iTX low battery alarms.
Reset (ACU) ................... The act of starting or re-starting the ACU.
RF................................... Radio Frequency. The method in which the signal is sent from the iTX to the
ACU.
Signal.............................. Information sent by the iTX and received by the ACU.
Strap ............................... Band that holds the iTX to the participant.
Strap Sever..................... Alarm that indicates the strap has been completely cut.
Test Mode....................... Allows installer to view current status of all hardware alarms.
