Downloading Information inside the ACU
1. Connect AC power: The information inside the ACU should be regularly downloaded (i.e. once
per week / once every two weeks). Connect the AC adapter to a wall outlet.
2. Connect Telephone: Connect the telephone cable to the telephone outlet. The ACU should
immediately start to call the central computer (CC).
3. Wait for “Call Successful”: The ACU should indicate “Call Successful” when the ACU has
transferred all of the stored information. If the ACU does not indicate “Call Successful” the ACU
needs to call into the CC again. This can most easily be accomplished by removing the AC plug
from the wall until the ACU indicates “Starting Call..”. Once the ACU indicates “Telephone In Use”
plug the AC adapter back into the wall outlet.
De-Installation / Removal
A. If your equipment is monitored by a Monitoring Center:-
- Fax the Information Change Form to the Monitoring Center on the same day that the ACU is
to be removed from the participant’s residence.
B. If you monitor your own equipment:-
- Assure the participant‘s sentence ends on the same day that the ACU is removed from the
participant’s residence.
1. Connect AC Power & Telephone: Connect AC Power to the ACU by plugging the AC adapter
into a wall outlet. Connect the telephone into the telephone outlet. The ACU should immediately
start to call into the central computer.
2. Wait for “Call Successful”: When the ACU indicates “Call Successful”, the ACU has transferred
all of the stored information. If the ACU does not indicate “Call Successful”, the ACU needs to call
into the CC again. This can most easily be accomplished by removing the AC plug from the wall
until the ACU indicates “Starting Call..”. Once the ACU indicates “Telephone In Use” plug the AC
adapter back into the wall outlet.
3. Turn the ACU off: Press and hold the iRX button on the LOCK until “Please Wait...” is
displayed on the ACU. When “B=Turn ACU Off” is displayed, press button B on the ACU.
Disconnect the AC adapter from the wall. The ACU will turn off in approximately five (5) seconds.
4. Disconnect the ACU: Disconnect the AC adapter from the back of the ACU. Disconnect the
telephone cord from the ACU and wall jack. Place the ACU, AC Adapter and telephone cord into
the carry / storage case.
