printers.ObjetStudiooffersyouawidevarietyoffilepreparationoptions,
butalwaysconsistsofthefollowingbasicprocedure:
1. Insertingoneormoreobjectsonthebuildtray
2. Positioningtheobject(s)onthetray
3. Configuringobjectandtrayparameters
4. Savingthetrayconfigurationasanobjtf(ObjetTra
yFormat)file
5. SendingtheobjtffiletotheConnex3Dprinterforproduction
UsingObjetStudiotoperformthesetasksisdescribedindetailinchapter 5 ,
“UsingObjetStudio.”
Job Manager
JobManagerisdifferentforclientworkstationsandforthecomputer
connecteddirectlytotheConnex3Dprinter.
InObjetStudioinstalledonthedirectlyconnectedcomputer(server),
JobManagerdisplaysthequeueandstatusforalljobssenttothe3D
printerbytheclientcomputersonthenetwork,andallowseditingand
manipulationofalljobs.
InObjetStudioinstalledonclientcomputers,JobManagerdisplaysthe
queueandstatusonlyforjobssenttothe3Dprinterserverfromthat
computer,andallowstheusertoeditonlythesejobs.
Client computers can be connected, via the local network, to different
Connex 3-D printers, but only to one at a time. The client Job Manager
displays the status of the 3-D printer to which the client is currently
connected.
