TheRFTransmitterboardhasnoalignmentprocedureastheTXM‐916‐EStreanmitterhasaself
containedcrystalcontrolledPLLoscillator.
Thistransmitted916.48MHzsignalwillalertthe
vehicleormachinerythatgeneratedthe73kHzfieldthatwasreceived,thatthisparticular
SurfacePADunitiscomingwithinanunsafedistanceofthevehicleormachinery.IfthePIC
determinesthatthe73kHzfieldstrengthisbelowthethresholdlevel,it
willcausetheRF
Transmittertotransmitttheunit’sstatusandIdentificationdataonceevery10seconds.
AlongwithgeneratingtheRFsignaltoalertthemachineryordevice,theSurfacePADwillalso
alertthepersonwearingthePADwithbothanaudiblesoundandavisualindicatorthatthey
areinanareathatistoclosetothevehicleormachinery.Theaudibleandvisualindicatoraare
locatedonaWarningUnitBoardwhichisalsowithintheSurfacePAD.
