Separate

the

RoadKill

FAST

Rings

(RKFR)

i

nto

3 pi

eces

.

2.

Clean

the

back

panel

area

of

the

door

where

RKFR

piece

#1

will

be

placed

(directly

behind

speaker

opening)

,

then

remove

release

liner

and

place

it

on

the

panel

behind

the

speaker

opening.

3. Using a

razorblade

,

cut

down

RKFR

piece

#2

to

approximately

.25in/6mm.

Remove

release

liner from

the

back

and

adhere

it

to

the

rear

of

the

speaker

,

creating

a

mounting

gasket

.

This

will ensure

an

airtight

seal

and

decouple

the

speaker

from

the

door

panel

,

preventing

front/rear

wave

cancellation

.

4.

Connect

and

mount

the

speaker

to

the

door

,

per

normal

i

nstallation

procedures.

5.

Clean

any

excess

dust from

the

speaker

and

adhere

RKFR

piece

#3

to

the

front

face

of

the

speaker.

Now

test

the

door

panel

for

fitment

. If

needed,

trim front

of

RKFR

pi

ece

#3 so

that

it

is

making

firm

contact

with

the

door

panel

but

not

crushing

the

RKFR

.

This

focuses

the

speaker

output

into

the

listening

compartment,

eliminating

losses

and

vibration

between

the

speaker

and

door

panel

,

and

optimizing

sound

output

,

clar

i

ty

and

dynamics.
