To ensure that the boots retain their
protective effect against cold and wet
and remain supple, the following care
instructions should be followed:
• Thoroughly coat the boots with a
shoe care product or dubbin before
wearing them for the first time.
• Clean the boots every time they get
dirty. Wash off adhering dirt with a
mild soap solution. Do not use
harsh or corrosive cleaning
products. Never use a pressure
washer to clean the boots.
Chemicals or other contaminants
(such as animal excrement) can
cause permanent structural
damage to the leather.
• Wet boots should be allowed to dry
slowly in the air. Important: Do not
place them near a heater or in
direct sunlight.
• Polish the boots regularly.
Important: On the other hand, if too
much boot polish or polish with too
high a proportion of animal fat is
used, the existing waterproofing of
the leather will be reversed.
• The boots should be transported
and stored as instructed,
preferably in a dry, well ventilated
room and protected from sunlight.
