► Release the trigger switch (2) so that it can
return to the off position. It is locked in this
position by the trigger switch lockout (1).
The coasting brake brings the chain to a stand‐

the trigger switch is fully released. If you release
the trigger switch slowly or only partly, the saw
chain will continue to run for several seconds.

Move hand guard to ƒ – the chain is locked.
During longer work breaks – disconnect the plug
from the wall outlet.
When the machine is not in use, store it in such a
way that it does not endanger others.
Secure it against unauthorized use.
20 Overload Cutout
The overload cutout interrupts the power supply
to the saw in the case of mechanical overload
due to, e.g.
–
excessive feed force
–
"lugging down" the motor
–
pinching the saw chain in the cut
If the overload cutout has interrupted the power
supply:
► Pull the guide bar out of the cut.
► If necessary, disengage the chain brake – see
"Chain Brake".
20.1 MSE 170 C, MSE 190 C,
MSE 210 C
