22.2 Extension Cords
Use an extension cord that is at least 35 ft. (10 m) long and
meets the specifications below.
– Types: SJW or SJTW, round jacketed cords
– W marking on cable jacket must indicate that it is suitable
for outdoor use
Minimum wire size for extension cords for 120 Volt
appliances, using not more than 12 A:
– Cord length 35 ft. (10 m): AWG 16
– Cord length 50 ft. (15 m): AWG 14
– Cord length 100 ft. (30 m): AWG 12
– Cord length 150 ft. (46 m): AWG 10
Minimum wire size for extension cords for 120 Volt

22.3 Chain Sprockets
The following chain sprockets are available for this model
chain saw:
– 7-tooth for 3/8" PICCO pitch
– 8-tooth for 1/4" PICCO pitch
22.4 Minimum Groove Depth of Guide Bars
The minimum groove depth of a guide bar depends on the
pitch of the guide bar.
– Minimum groove depth for 1/4" PICCO pitch guide bars :
0.157 in. (4 mm)
– Minimum groove depth for 3/8" PICCO pitch guide bars:
0.197 in. (5 mm)
22.5 Depth Gauge Setting
The depth gauge setting of a saw chain depends on the pitch
of the chain.
– Depth gauge setting for 1/4" PICCO pitch chains:
0.018 in. (0.45 mm)
– Depth gauge setting for 3/8" PICCO pitch chains:
0.026 in. (0.65 mm)
