Fault LEDs on the
battery
Cause Remedy
"SAW CHAIN
LUBRICANT"
LED lights up in
red.
Insufficient saw chain
oil in the oil tank.
► Fill with saw chain oil.
Insufficient saw chain
oil in the oil sensor.
► Set oil feed rate to maximum feed rate.
► Switch on chainsaw, fully press trigger
and let chainsaw run for approximately
1 minute.
The "SAW CHAIN OIL" LED goes out.
The oil pump can be adjusted when wor‐
king.
► If the "SAW CHAIN OIL" LED continues
to be lit up in red: Do not use your chain‐
saw and contact a STIHL authorized dea‐
ler for assistance.
The saw chain oil is
unsuitable, dirty or too
old.
► Fill and use new, suitable saw chain oil,
