Otherwise the drive links will grind
against the base of the groove – the
bottoms of the cutters and the tie straps
will not lie against the bar.
N Periodically clean the ventilation
slots with a dry brush or the like
N Move the hand guard to ƒ.
N Remove the battery.
N Turn the machine upside down and
shake it remove chips from battery
compartment.
N Remove the saw chain and guide
bar, clean them and spray with
corrosion inhibiting oil.
N Thoroughly clean the machine,
especially the cooling air inlets.
N If you use a biological chain and bar
lubricant, e.g. STIHL BioPlus,
completely fill the chain oil tank.
N Store the machine in a dry and
secure location – out of the reach of
children and other unauthorized
persons.
Cover for Battery Compartment
In some markets the machine comes
with a cover for the battery
compartment. It protects the battery
compartment from contamination.
N After finishing work, slide the
cover (1) home until it engages
audibly in position.
