11 Assembling the Chain Saw
Fit the slider (3) over the guide (1).
Screw on the quick-release (4) and tighten the screws (2).
Pull the slider (3) forward as far as possible.
Completely close the quick-release (4). The quick-release
must be positioned in the illustrated area (A).
The slider can no longer be moved.
11.4.2 Removing the Depth Limiter
To remove the depth limiter:
Shut off the engine, @ 16.
Engage the chain brake, @ 13.1.
Open and unscrew the quick-release (1).
Remove the slider (2).
Remove the screws (4).
Remove the guide (3).
11.5 Adjusting the Depth Limiter
The depth limiter can be adjusted depending on the
application. The setting of the depth limiter determines the
maximum entry depth of the guide bar into the material to be
cut. The cutting depth is adjustable from just a few
millimeters to approximately 8 in. (20 cm).
To adjust the depth limiter:
Shut off the engine, @ 16.
Engage the chain brake, @ 13.1.
