14.7.1 Troubleshooting chart, handle heating systems and generator
Check generator
Resistance between engine ground
and generator connection
approx. 0.5–1 Ω?
Start
Do both handles become
warm?
Measure resistance of the individual
heating elements using
ohmmeter
Disconnect plug connection to
thermostatic switch

Check rear handle heating element:
in good condition?

handle housing?
