English 11 LED Diagnostics and Acoustic Signals If the four right side LEDs flash red and a rapid succession of several short beeps is emitted: the battery has a malfunction and must be replaced. Do not attempt to charge, use or store the battery. ► Be aware that your ability to hear the acoustic signal may be reduced when wearing hearing protection. 11.1.2 Power Tool Status When the battery is connected to the power tool, the same LEDs on the battery will indicate the status of the power tool.

To reduce the risk of injury in an emergency, remove the waist belt and chest strap quickly before dropping the battery backpack to the ground. To ensure a proper fit: ► Thread the end of the waist belt through the loop (3).

Mount so that the connecting cord exits the backpack on the side of your body where the power tool will be held and controlled.

English 12 Using a Battery Harness ► Adjust the harness straps so that the backpack fits firmly and securely against your back. ► Thread the end of the waist belt through the loop (3). ► To remove the harness, open the quick-release fasteners on the waist belt and chest strap and loosen the harness straps by lifting the sliding adjusters.

English 16 Checking the Hedge Trimmer To switch the hedge trimmer on: To switch the hedge trimmer off: 3 4 ► Depress and hold the switch lever (1). ► Unlock the retaining latch (2) by pushing it forward with your thumb. Hold it in this unlocked position. ► Depress and hold the trigger switch lockout (3). The retaining latch can now be released and will stay in the unlocked position. ► Squeeze the trigger switch (4) with your index finger. The cutting blades will start moving.
English ► Remove the connecting cord. ► Unlock the retaining latch by pushing it forward with your thumb. ► Hold the retaining latch in the unlocked position. ► Depress the trigger switch lockout and the trigger switch momentarily. ► Release the retaining latch, trigger switch lockout and trigger switch.
