Fault:
Motor does not start
Possible cause:
– Shredder box not inserted and locked in
place
– Motor overload protection activated
– No mains voltage
– ConnectorConnection cable, plug, plug
connector or switch defective
Remedy:
– Insert shredder box and lock in place
(Ö 10.5)
– Allow machine to cool down (Ö 8.6)
– Check power cable and fuse

– Check cable, plugs, connector and
switch and replace if necessary (by

Fault:
Shredding material is not drawn in
Possible cause:
– Blade roller is blocked
Remedy:
– Remove blockage (Ö 10.9)
Fault:
Shredding material is not cut
Possible cause:
– Counterplate on the blade roller not
properly adjusted
– Blade roller worn or damaged
Remedy:
– Adjusting the counterplate (Ö 11.1)
– Replace blade roller and counterplate

Fault:
Motor is humming, machine does not start
Possible cause:
– Blade roller is blocked
Remedy:
– Remove blockage (Ö 10.9)
Fault:
Abnormal noises, machine rattles
Possible cause:
– Screws loose
– Blade roller worn or damaged
Remedy:
– Check that all screws are securely
seated; tighten loose screws
– Replace blade roller and counterplate

Shredding material is not ejected
Possible cause:
– Ejection chute obstructed by incorrectly
positioned rubber cover
Remedy:
– Install rubber cover correctly (Ö 7.2)
