N Swing the filing frame upwards.
N Loosen the knurled nut (1).
N Lift the guide clear of the teeth and
turn it to exactly the same angle
setting on the opposite side.
N Tighten down the knurled nut.
N Turn the chain rest 180°, as
described under "Setting Up".
N Reset the file.
N Swing the filing frame down.
N Position the round file between the
side plate and depth gauge of the
first cutter in the second row.
N Sharpen the first cutter in the
second row.
N Check the cutter length (A).
If it differs from the length of the master
cutter:
N Move the stop (3) forwards or
backwards and resharpen.
N Check the cutter length (A).
N Repeat the procedure if necessary
until setting is correct,
N Sharpen all cutters in the second
row using this setting.
Depth gauge
N Select the filing gauge (special
accessory) that matches the chain
pitch.
N Place the selected filing gauge (1)
on the chain.
N Check height of depth gauge.
If the depth gauge projects above the
filing gauge, it has to be lowered.
N Set the filing angle on the guide to
0°.
N Pull the chain along the bar until the
depth gauge is under the file.
N Fit triangular file (special accessory)
in place of the round file.
