English MultiSystem Guide to Using this Manual Pictograms All the pictograms attached to the machine are shown and explained in this manual. + Symbols in text WARNING + 469BA028 KN Warning where there is a risk of an accident or personal injury or serious damage to property. In the STIHL MultiSystem, various MultiEngines and MultiTools are combined to form a machine. In this Instruction Manual, the functional unit of MultiEngine and MultiTool is referred to as a machine.
English The deflector on this power tool cannot protect the operator from all objects thrown by the attachment (stones, glass, wire, etc.). Ejected objects may also ricochet and strike the operator. English N Starting / Stopping the Engine Starting the Engine N Always follow the starting procedure described in the MultiEngine instruction manual. Check that the MultiTool is not touching the ground or any other obstacles. The unit must rest on the engine flange and the support on the frame. Make sure you have good balance and secure footing – as shown in the illustration.
English Maintenance and Care The following intervals apply to normal operating conditions only. If your daily working time is longer or operating conditions are difficult (very dusty work area, etc.), shorten the specified intervals accordingly.

français Veiller à ce que le ralenti soit correctement réglé – de telle sorte qu'après le relâchement de la gâchette d'accélérateur l'outil de travail ne soit plus entraîné et s'arrête. Contrôler régulièrement et rectifier si nécessaire le réglage du ralenti. Si l'outil de travail est entraîné au ralenti, malgré un réglage correct, faire réparer la machine par le revendeur spécialisé – voir la Notice d'emploi du moteur MultiSystème. À l'utilisation, le réducteur devient très chaud.
