: Grip the skirt and pull it down firmly.
: Push the end (5) of the skirt under
the lip on the deflector.
: Secure arm (4) with screws (3),
tighten down firmly.
: Slide clamp (2) down drive tube in
direction of gearbox and tighten the
screw (1) firmly.
A bent or cracked blade must not be
straightened or welded – it may break
completely! Such blades must be
replaced – see “Fitting the Cutting
Blade”.
STIHL recommends the use of genuine
STIHL cutting blades – see “Special
Accessories“
: Replace the blade (1) when its
length (A) is no longer sufficient to
maintain the necessary ground
clearance (B) and obtain the
required depth of cut (C).
To avoid out-of-balance:
check cutting blade on STIHL
balancer – see “Special
Accessories“.
Do not resharpen the blade!
