7.9 CLEANING
-
ne, silencer, battery and fuel tank free
from grass, leaves and oil
check the machine for oil and/or fuel
leaks.
This can damage shaft seals, electrical
components or hydraulic valves.
Always clean the machine after use. To clean
the machine adhere to the instructions provided
below:
• Do not spray water directly onto the engine.
• Clean the engine with a brush and/or
compressed air.
• Clean the motor cooling air intake.
• After cleaning using water, start the machine
and any cutting means assembly to remove
any water which may otherwise end up in the
bearings and cause damage.
8 USING THE ATTACHMENT
Make sure the grass to be cut is com-
stones etc.
8.1 CUTTING HEIGHT
For best results, cut o the top third of the grass.
See g. 23.
If the grass is long and needs cutting back signi-
cantly, cut twice using two dierent cutting heights.
Do not use the lowest cutting heights if the lawn
surface is uneven.
This would entail a risk of the cutting means being
damaged against the surface and the lawn’s top
layer of soil being removed.
8.2 MOWING TIPS
