Material losses
Ensure condensate drain cannot retain water.
f Use a condensate drain hose with a diameter
greater than the diameter of the condensate drain
bend.
f Ensure the condensate drain hose is not bent.
f Route the condensate drain hose with a continuous
base slope.
The condensate drain must be open to the atmosphere.
f Use a suitable condensate pump if there is insufficient base
slope. Observe the building characteristics.
11.3 Choosing the operation mode
The appliance is shipped from the factory set to Automatic Mode
(See 5.3, “Changing mode of operation”, pg. 15). If the appliance
needs to be set to Heat Pump Only Mode this should be selected
before commissioning the appliance.
To switch the active mode, the top and side covers must be re-
moved (See 16.1, “Removing the appliance cover”, pg. 29 & See
16.2, “Removing the casing ring”, pg. 29).
WARNING Electrocution
Ensure that the appliance is disconnected from its
power supply before changing the operation mode or
performing any other service.

1 Operation mode DIP switches
11.3.1 Automatic Mode
The appliance comes factory set in Automatic Mode (See 5.3.1,
“Automatic Mode”, pg. 15). This mode is active when the upper
and lower DIP switches are both set to the lower positions.

11.3.2 Heat Pump Only Mode
The appliance can be set to Heat Pump Only Mode (See 5.3.2, “Heat
Pump Only Mode”, pg. 15). This mode is active when the upper
DIP switch is set to the upper position and the lower DIP switch is
set to the lower position.
