3.7 LIU Interface
The LIU interface is a DC-37 female connector at the rear of the paging transmitter. The pin-out for the LIU
Interface can be found in Appendix A.4. The LIU interface has ten digital inputs

and fourteen alarm outputs.
The alarm outputs are numbered 1 to 13 with an additional combined alarm and are configurable. The digital
inputs are:
Frequency Select 1
Frequency Select 2
Frequency Select 3
Frequency Select 4
Protocol Select
Hardware PTT
Tx Data L-bit
Tx Data H-bit
Transmit Clock
Aux Input 1 (RFI-148 only) can be configured to trigger a fault
Aux Input 2 can be configured to trigger a pre-defined page event
Use of the hardware PTT, protocol select and frequency select inputs are all optional and may be disabled in
software. The use of the transmit clock is optional for 2-level protocols, but required for 4-level protocols.
