BOLT GROUP: The STEYR AUG has a fixed locking bolt, with seven lock-
ing lugs. An optional bolt is available to convert the STEYR AUG from
right hand to left hand ejection.
STOCK GROUP: The STEYR AUG comes with a black synthetic bull-pup
stock. It contains the receiver group, trigger mechanism group, maga-
zine and external bolt release lever.
The safety is located on the top of
the pistol grip of the stock, behind
the trigger. The safety is a two
position push through “cross-bolt”
type that locks the trigger. When
the safety is protruding all the way
from the right side of the STEYR
AUG and a white dot is visible, it is
in the “safe” position and the trig-
ger is locked in place.
When the safety is protruding all
the way from the left side of the
STEYR AUG and a red dot is visible,
it is in the “fire” position and the
trigger can be moved.
