To assemble the major component groups of your STEYR AUG, follow
the instructions below:
1. Hold the stock with your left
hand and press the top of the
bolt release lever against the
stock with your left thumb;
2. Insert the trigger mechanism (the
hammer must be cocked) into
the rear of the stock with your
right hand;
3. Press the retaining bolt lock in
with your right thumb;
4. Press the retaining bolt com-
pletely into the stock with your
left hand;
5. Insert the butt plate into the
stock with the little nose of the
stock inserted into the slot of
the butt plate;
