CHAPTER 2: LOADING

To minimize the risk of a negligent discharge, only load live

ammunition into your STEYR AUG when you are ready to fire it.

Only use high quality commercially manufactured ammuni-

tion in the same caliber as your STEYR AUG. Reloaded or hand loaded

ammunition may not meet applicable SAAMI standards and could be

unsafe.

To load the magazine, press each

cartridge down and into the maga-

zine - against the force of the mag-

azine spring.

To insert the magazine, hold the

pistol grip with your right hand

and hold the magazine in your left

hand. Insert the magazine up and

into the magazine well until the

magazine release lock catches (in-

dicated by a “click” sound).
