Installation Guide
12. Cut Holes for the Valves and Spout
Lay out and mark the location for the mixing valve, shower, and the bath spout holes on the back
surface of the surround wall.
Drill 1/4″ (6 mm) pilot holes at the marked locations.
Clean the whirlpool to reduce the risk of surface damage.
Verify that the bottom of the whirlpool is protected by a drop cloth, a liner, or similar material.
IMPORTANT! If using a round hole saw or other rotary tool to cut the holes, cut the holes from the front,
or finished side, of the wall. If using a saber saw or other reciprocating saw that cuts on the pull stroke,
cut the holes from the rear of the wall. If using a hand-held jig saw or other saw that cuts on the push
stroke, cut the holes from the front of the wall.
From the inside of the wall surround (finished surface), use a hole saw of the correct diameter to
carefully drill the fitting holes.
Clean any debris from the whirlpool to reduce the risk of surface damage. Be careful not to scratch
the surface of the unit.
2. Drill pilot holes.
