14. Reposition the bearing housings and fasten them into place. Be
sure that the flat surface is to the top of the cutting chamber.
15. Replace the cartridge bearings if necessary. See the Spare
Parts List on page 42 for the correct chamber.
16. Reposition the bearings and tighten evenly with screws that
were previously removed. Tighten set screws on bearings.
17. Install rotor knives as instructed in Section 6-2-2 on page 28.
NOTE: If new rotor knives are being fitted, the bed knives will
have to be set back and adjusted to clear the rotor knives so that the
rotor can revolve freely.
18. Re-install the feed roll assembly.
19. Re-assemble the keys, sheaves, and rotor shaft locking hubs
onto the rotor shaft.
20. Install the drive belts and adjust the belt tension. (Refer to
Section 6-2-4 on page 30.
21. Adjust and set the upstroke bed knives as detailed in Section
6.2.1.a on page 24.
22. Adjust and set the downstroke bed knives and shield(s) as
detailed in Section 6.2.1.b on page 26.
23. Re-assemble the screen, cradle arms, and access panel, as
detailed in Section 6-3-2 on page 33.
!!Caution!!
Before attempting to operate the machine, check the cutting chamber to be sure
that no parts, tools, or materials have fallen in. Replace the front access door and
tighten all screws. Check that the safety switch actuator arm is engaged and
tight.
24. Replace the line fuses, unlock the power supply, and turn the
Main Power switch to On.
