8. Remove the socket cap screws from the front feed roll frame,
and slightly tap the front frame evenly on the ends to pull it
away from the dowels.
9. Remove the front frame from the machine.
10. Remove the socket cap screws from the back of the feed roll
frame. Remove the end mount from only one side of the
machine.
11. Slide the feed rolls off of the frame assembly.
12. Replace the feed rolls if required. Refer to the Spare Parts list
on page 42 for the correct replacement part numbers.
13. For re-assembly, reverse the above procedure. Be sure that the
feed rolls are centralized to the frame when assembling.
14. After assembly is completed, lubricate the cartridge bearings
and chain as stipulated in Figure 9 on page 32.
15. Replace the infeed chute into position on top of the machine.
Tighten down into place with the infeed chute screws.
16. Replace the feed roll chain on the sprockets. Adjust the idler
sprocket and tighten until 1/2” slack is accomplished on the top
section of the chain.
17. Check the gear reductor reservoir, and fill it with #90 lube oil if
needed, as stipulated in Figure 9 on page 32.
18. Replace the chain guard and tighten in place with the chain
guard screws.
!!Caution!!
Before attempting to operate the machine, remove the access panel and check
the cutting chamber to be sure that no parts, tools, or materials have fallen in.
Replace the access panel and tighten all screws. Check the safety switch actuator
arm.
19. Replace the line fuses, unlock the power supply, and turn the
main power switch to on.
6-3-4 Rotor and Bearing Replacement
1. Turn the Main Power switch to Off, lock out the power supply,
and remove the line fuses.
