Operation
Technical Specifications
If you want the connected
load to come on independ-
ently of a heat source in the
detection zone, briefly oper-
ate the indoor mains power
switch. The connected load
is subsequently activated
for the set time. Weather
influences may affect the
function of the SensorLight.
In case of strong gusts
of wind, snow, rain and
hail, switching errors may
occur, since the sudden
temperature deviations can-
not be distinguished from
sources of heat. The multi-
lens (detector lens) can be
cleaned with a damp cloth
if it gets dirty (do not use
cleaning agents).
Function
Once the SensorLight has
been connected and attached
to the wall mount, the system
can be switched on. Three set-
ting controls are provided on
the light's sensor lens.
a) Twilight setting
You can set the light to
come "ON" at any light level
from approx. 2 lux to 2000
lux. Control turned fully
clockwise means daytime
operation at approx. 2000
lux. Control turned fully
anticlockwise means twi-
light operation at approx. 2
lux. (Light is set to daytime
operation on leaving the
factory.) The SensorLight
control must be turned fully
clockwise when adjusting
the detection zone and
performing the function test
in daylight.
b) Switch-off delay (time
setting)
The "ON" time can be var-
ied continuously between
approx. 10 sec. and a
maximum of 15 min. Con-
trol turned fully clockwise
means shortest time of
approx. 10 sec., control
turned fully anticlockwise
means longest time, ap-
prox. 15 min. (Light is set to
shortest time on leaving the
factory.) The shortest time
setting is recommended
when adjusting the Sen-
sorLight's detection zone
and performing the func-
tion test.
Infinitely variable
brightness control
(Watt-o-matic)
The following functions
can be controlled using the
dimmer:
1) Control turned fully clock-
wise means that the Sen-
sorLight is switched
"OFF". The light on-
ly switches to maxi-
mum output when move-
ment occurs in the sensor
zone.
2) Turning the control from
the middle setting to ful-
ly anticlockwise infinite-
ly varies SensorLight
brightness from approx.
10 watts to a max. of 30
watts (light "ON"
perman
-
ently). This means: At
a permanent light "ON"
setting, for example, of
30 watts, the light will
only switch to maximum
output (60 watts) when
movement occurs in the
sensor zone.
3) Dimmer control turned
fully anticlockwise and
twilight setting control
turned fully clockwise:
In this setting, the Sen-
sorLight is permanent-
ly "ON". Using an "ON/
OFF" switch fitted in the
building's electrical wir-
ing system, the Sensor-
Light can be operated as
a normal light.
