The Assignment Browser
The assignment browser consists of the following elements:
- The “Sticky Browser” button in the top left corner of the assignment browser
indicates if the browser is fixed (closed padlock symbol) or closes automatically
after a few seconds (open padlock symbol). Click the button to change its status.
- The “Show Remote Item Info” button can be used to show a graphical
representation of a rotary control next to each remote item. By clicking these icons,
you let the program know that the corresponding physical control is an endless
rotary encoder.
- The “Reset Remote Assignment” button allows you to remove a controller
assignment from a specific control.
- The name field lets you change the default name for the assigned remote control
(at the bottom of the list). This allows you to keep an overview of the assigned
controls.
Setting the Remote Focus
The “Set Remote Focus” function allows you to use the same hardware controls for
remote-controlling the quick controls on different panels or pages. To set the remote
focus to a panel, proceed as follows:
1. Assign the same MIDI controller to all quick controls.
2. Click the upper or lower edge of the panel that you want to remote-control.
The panel now has the remote focus, indicated by a color change.
3. Remote-control the quick controls on this panel.
4. Click the upper or lower edge of a different panel to remote-control another effect
or instrument.
You can also set the remote focus to the Output Effects section and the following
pages in the Multi Zone: Track Inspector Page, Beat Page, Mixer Page, and
Performance Page.
