Hiding/Showing brackets for right-hand ngerings
When multiple notes in the same chord are plucked by the same right-hand nger, you can show
the same
ngering multiple times, once for each note, or show a single ngering for all notes
with a bracket spanning the notes plucked by that nger. When showing a separate ngering for
each note, you can also choose to place each ngering either above or below the staff. You can
do this for the current layout and frame chain only or for all layouts and frame chains.
NOTE
These steps only apply to right-hand ngerings belonging to fretted instruments.
PREREQUISITE
You have input the ngerings for which you want to hide/show brackets or whose vertical
position you want to change.
You have chosen the appropriate property scope for local properties.
PROCEDURE
1.
Select all the notes for which you want to hide/show brackets for right-hand ngerings.
2.
In the Properties panel, activate Vertical position in the Plucked Fingering group.
3. Select one of the following options from the menu:
To hide brackets and show a separate ngering for each selected note, select Above
staff or Below staff.
To show brackets and a single ngering for all notes in each bracket, select Next to
note.
RESULT
Brackets on the selected right-hand ngerings are hidden/shown. If you selected Above staff or
Below staff, their staff-relative placement is changed accordingly. If the property scope was set
to Locally, this change only takes effect in the current layout and frame chain.
