Filters
Filters in Dorico Elements allow you to select only a specic type of item from a larger selection.
Dorico Elements includes a lter for every notation item.
You can nd the available lters by choosing Edit > Filter > [Item] > [Item type].
You can also choose lters from the context menu.
All signicant notation items have their own lter, for example, arpeggio signs, chord symbols,
key signatures, and playing techniques. You can also lter for note spacing changes.
The following items have multiple lters because they have multiple types:
Notes
Allows you to lter notes, grace notes, and chords. You can also lter notes according
to their position in chords.
Voices
Allows you to lter voices according to their stem-direction. You can also lter slash
voices.
Dynamics
Allows you to lter all dynamics, or just gradual or immediate dynamics.
Tempos
Allows you to lter all tempo marks, or just absolute, relative, or gradual tempo
changes.
Lyrics
Allows you to lter all lyrics, or just lyrics with a specic line number, type, or staff-
relative placement.
NOTE
There is no lter for barlines. You also cannot lter ngerings, beams, articulations, or tremolos,
as they are considered part of the notes to which they apply.
