3 Tap Tempo
Opens a window where you can specify a tempo by tapping.
4 Insert Tempo into Tempo Track at Tempo Track Start
If your project is in tempo track mode, the calculated tempo is set as the rst tempo curve
point. If your project is in xed tempo mode, the calculated tempo is set for the entire
project.
5 Insert Tempo into Tempo Track at Selection Start
If your project is in tempo track mode, the calculated tempo is set as a new tempo event at
the start of the selection.
6 Refresh
Allows you to recalculate the tempo. This is useful if you adjust the selection, for example.
Set Denition from Tempo Dialog
The Set Denition from Tempo dialog allows you to set up freely recorded audio material to
follow a specic tempo.
To open the Set Denition from Tempo dialog for an audio recording, select Audio >
Advanced > Set Denition from Tempo.
Save Denition in Project Only
Saves the tempo information in the project le only.
Write Denition to Audio Files
Writes the tempo information to the selected audio les. This is useful if you want to
use them in other projects together with the tempo information.
Adjusting the Audio Tempo to the Project Tempo
You can adjust the tempo of freely recorded audio material to the project tempo.
PROCEDURE
1. Select the audio events that you want to adjust to the project tempo.
2. Select Audio > Advanced > Set Denition from Tempo.
3. Optional: Adjust the settings.
4. Click OK.
RESULT
The tempo information is copied to the audio and the tracks are set to musical time base. This is
achieved by applying warping to the events. Musical Mode is activated for the audio events. The
audio tracks now follow any tempo changes in the project.
