Converts the original le without changing clip references. However, the
references are saved with the next save action.
New + Replace in Pool
Creates a new copy with the chosen attributes, replaces the original le with the
new one in the Pool, and redirects the current clip references from the original
le to the new le. Select this option if you want your audio clips to refer to the
converted
le but want to keep the original le on disk. This is useful if the le is
used in other projects, for example.
Extracting Audio from Video File
You can extract audio from video les. This automatically generates a new audio clip that
appears in the Pool Record folder.
NOTE
This function is not available for MPEG-1 video les.
PROCEDURE
1. In the Pool window, select Media> Extract Audio from Video File.
2. Select the video le from which you want to extract audio, and click Open.
RESULT
The audio is extracted from the video le. The audio le gets the same le format and sample
rate/width as in the current project, and the same name as the video le.
