PROBLEMS
NOT ENOUGH HOT WATER
1.)Blowerwillnotrun.
a.“ON/OFF”controlswitchturnedoff. Turnswitchtothe“ON”position.
b.Blowerunplugged. Plugblowerbackinto115VACoutlet.
c.Nopoweratoutlet. Repairservicetooutlet.
d. Thermostat defective. Replacethermostat.
e. Control harness defective. Replacecontrolharness.
f.Highlimitcontrolcircuitopen.
Reducethewatertemperaturebelow140°F.
Turn the power switch to the off position.
Wait 10 seconds.Turn the powerswitch to
theonposition.Reducethe
temperatureset
pointtominimizelikelihoodofreoccurrence.
If
thisdoesnotsolvetheproblem,replacethe
thermostat.
g.Blowermotordefective. Replaceblowerassembly.
2.)Thermostatproblems
a. Thermostat set too low. Adjusttemperaturecontrolhigher.
b. Thermostat or ECO defective Replacethermostat.
3.)Others
a.Heaterundersized.. Reduce hot water use.
b.Lowgaspressure Contact dealer.
c.Incomingwaterisusuallycold. Allow more time for heater to reheat.
d.Leakinghotwaterpipesoffixtures. Haveplumbercheckandrepairleaks.
e. Heater not lit or thermostat not on. Refer to LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS.
VENT PIPE TOO HOT (ABOVE 170°F [77°C]) Wrongburnerorice. Turnoffheaterandgas,cleanburnerhead.
YELLOW FLAME
Dirtinburnerports. Turnoffheaterandgas,cleanburnerhead.
Combustionairpathrestricted.
Check exhaust venting and air openings
in bottom base pan for obstructions or
blockage.
CONDENSATION Waterontheoorunderheater. See CONDENSATION section.
WATER LEAKS
Improperly sealed, hot or cold supply
connections, relief valve, drain valve or
thermostat threads.
Checkforleaks.SeeFigure1.
Leakagefromotherappliancesorwaterlines.
Inspectotherappliancesnearwaterheater.

LEAKING T & P
