A. Thisappliancedoesnothaveapilot.Itisequippedwith
anignitiondevicewhichautomaticallylightstheburner.
Do NOT try to light the burner by hand.
B. BEFORE OPERATINGsmell all around the appliance
areaforgas.Besuretosmellnexttotheoorbecause
somegasisheavierthanairandwillsettleontheoor.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS:
• Donottrytolightanyappliance.
• Donottouchanyelectricswitch;
Donotuseanyphoneinyourbuilding.
• Immediatelycallyourgas supplier from a neighbor’s
phone.Followthegassupplier’sinstructions.
• If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the re
department.
C. Useonlyyourhandtopushinthegascontrolbuttons.
Neverusetools.Ifthecontrolbuttonswillnotpushin,don’t
trytorepairthem,callaqualiedservicetechnician.Force
orattemptedrepairmayresultinareorexplosion.
D. Donotusethisapplianceifanyparthasbeenunder
water.Immediatelycontactaqualiedinstallerorservice
agencytoreplaceaoodedwaterheater.Donotattempt
torepairtheunit!Itmustbereplaced!
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Setthethermostattothelowestsetting.
2. SettheON/OFFswitchonthecontrolpaneltothe
“OFF”position.
3. Turnoffallelectricalpowertotheapplianceifservice
istobeperformed.
BEFORE OPERATING: ENTIRE SYSTEM MUST BE FILLED WITH WATER AND AIR PURGED FROM ALL LINES.
1. STOP!Readthesafetyinformationabove,
on this label.
2. Set theON/OFFswitchonthe control panel to
the“ON”position.
3. Setthethermostattothelowestsetting.
4. Set the ON/OFF switch on the control box to the
“OFF”position.
5. Thisappliance is equipped with a device which
automaticallylightstheburner.
DO NOT TRY TO LIGHT THE BURNER BY HAND.
6.
Wait five (5) minutes to
clear out any
gas.
Ifyousmellgas,
STOP!Follow“B”
in the safety information above on this label.
Ifyoudon’tsmellgas.
7. Turnonallelectricalpowertotheappliance.
8. SettheON/OFFswitchonthecontrolboxtothe
“ON”position.
9. Setthethermostattothedesiredsetting.
CAUTION: Hotter water increases the risk
of scald injury. Consult the instruction
manual before changing temperature.
10.If the appliance will not operate, follow the
instructions“TOTURNOFFGASTOAPPLIANCE”
andcallyourtechnicianorgassupplier.
