Introduction The SV231DVIUAHR 2-Port High Resolution Dual-Link DVI USB KVM Switch provides simple, yet comprehensive control of 2 directly-connected computers, as well as audio switching capability and support for high resolution applications (supports resolutions beyond 1080p: 2560x1600 @ 60Hz, up to 3840 x 2400 at lower refresh rates), offering a superior KVM switching solution that integrates perfectly into demanding imaging, medical, and multimedia environments.
Installation NOTE: Prior to the installation, please power off all devices that will be connected to this system. Ensure that all devices you will connect are properly grounded. Place cables away from fluorescent lights, air conditioners, and machines that are likely to generate electrical noise. If you experience any problems using a USB KVM switch, the following BIOS setup changes may be necessary for PC users and not necessary for Mac users: • Set HALT ON ERROR to ALL BUT KEYBOARD.

Console Connection Before installation, ensure that all devices and computers to be connected to the KVM switch are powered off. 1. Connect a DVI-capable monitor to the Console’s DVI port. 2. Plug a USB keyboard and a USB mouse to any two of the Console’s USB ports as shown below. Computer Connection 1. Use a male-to-male cable to connect from a computer’s DVI port to the KVM switch’s DVI port of PC side, as shown below. 2.
Operation Front Panel On-line LED / Selected LED When the LED turns green, the connected computer is powered-on. When a computer is selected, its corresponding red LED illuminates. Push Buttons Pressing the “Select” button switches between ports. HotKey Control A Hotkey command is a short keyboard sequence for selecting a computer, activating computer scan, etc. A hotkey sequence starts with two left keystrokes (successively within 0.2 seconds) followed by one or two more keystrokes.
To start Auto Scan: Left + Left + To abort the Auto Scan mode, press the left key twice. When Auto Scan detects any keyboard activity, it suspends the scanning till the activity stops; it then resumes with the next computer in sequence. The length of the Auto Scan interval (Scan Time) is adjustable, see below. Manual Scan allows users to manually switch back and forth between powered-on computers.
Change Leading Hotkey The default leading hotkey sequence involves pressing the left twice in succession (e.g. left + left ). This can be changed to the right key instead, to avoid accidental activation due to using the left key for functions such as Copy/Paste.
