CAUTION • PRODUCT DAMAGE MAY RESULT. These pumps are not designed or intended to be used to handle sewage or effluent. • PRODUCT DAMAGE MAY RESULT. 2. Remove the battery compartment. 2 Battery compartment 3. Insert three alkaline ‘D’ cell batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. When inserting the battery compartment back into the pump, the side with the 2 large brass pads goes down, touching the springs inside the pump. 3 4. C AUTION: Remove batteries from the pump when they are discharged, or when the pump will be stored for an extended time. Batteries can leak and damage the pump electrical circuit.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Before turning the pump on, place it in water and unwind the hose completely. Water level must be at least 1-1/4 in. before the pump will operate. 1 Attached Hose CAUTION: To prevent clogging, be sure the pump is an area that is free from debris. If pump is turned on before it is submerged, it may take 10 - 30 seconds for water to begin flowing. CAUTION: Check hose and connections for leaks and kinks. A straight hose will allow the pump to move more water faster.
4. O nce the pump is no longer pumping water, turn it off by pressing the power switch. Remove the pump and hose when finished pumping and flush the pump thoroughly with fresh, clean water. 4 CARE AND MAINTENANCE WARNING: Turn pump off before performing any maintenance. 1. WARRANTY This product is warranted for one year from the date of purchase or two years from the date of manufacture, whichever occurs first. Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the manufacturer will repair or replace to the original consumer, any portion of the product which proves defective due to defective materials or workmanship. This warranty does not cover replacement parts for failure due to normal wear and tear.
