off-line. Set the@nter off-line andthenfeed paper.

Therearelimits tothethicknessofpaperthatcanbe fed
in this way (one topcopy andthreeNCRcopies). Try
with thinnerpaper.
If the ASF is not operatingor is not feedingpaper carectly, check the
following:

mounted?
Is paper caughtup near the
orinthead?
Are the left andrightguides
too close together?
Istheretoomuchpaperinthe

being fed into the ASF?
Haathe paperbeen used al-
readyor is it creased?

Possible remedy
Select this option
The release lever should be set to the single-sheet
position.
MakesurethattheASFimproperlyseatedontheprintcr.
Stopprinting,removethejsrnmedsheet (youmayhave
to removethe ASF for this), andcontinue.
If the left andright guides are too close together,the
paperwill notfeed smoothly.Move themalittle further
aW to Mow thepaperto feed freely.
The ASF’Spaperfeed hopperandstackercanhold 120
sheetseach. Makesurethatthereis nomorepaperthan
this in eitherthehopperorstacker.
If this is not done,paperjams mayoccur.Remove the
stackof paperfromtheASF andfanit beforereinsert-
ilw.
Only new, uncreaaedpaper should be used with the
ASF.
Youcanonly feed paperinthiswaywhentheprinteris
off-line. Set theprinteroff-line andthenfeed paper.
Therearelimitstothethicknessof paperthatcanbefed
in thisway. Trywithdifferentpaper.
