If theprintis faint,or uneven,checkthe following:

The ribbonhas a long life, but eventually will need
replacing.Fit anew ribboncartridgeif necessary.
If dotsaremissingin the printing,checkthe following:

Are dots missing at random
in theprinting?
Isa line of dotsmissingcon-
sistently throughout the
printing?
The ribbonhas become slack causing it to get caught
up. Stopprinting,remove the ribboncartridge,reten-
sion andreplaceit.
The printheadis damaged.Stopprinting,andcontact
yoursupplierforanew printhead.
If your applicationsoftwarecannotprint the fontsor charactemselected,
checkthe following:

or you have the wrong characterset selected (for
example if charactersother thanIBM block graphic
charactersare being printed).Correctthis with DIP
switches orthe appropriatesoftwaresequences.

emulationtotheone actuallvset. ChecktheDIPswitch

Use theHexDunmmodeto analvzetheouhmtfromthe
computerto the p%nter.This will enable you to deter-
mine that the right escape sequences, etc are being
transmitted.
