MicroFeed

The Micro Feed facilityis usefulif youwishto alignthe paperexactly.It

feedsthepaperforwardsor backwardsin l/216thinchincrements.

To use thisfeatwe, put the printeroff-line(usingthe (- button).

Then press the @@> button,and eitherthe

(PAP-O) button(to feed the

paperforwatis), orthe @W@ button(to feedthepaperbackwards).

Holdingdownthesebuttonscontinuouslywillcontinuetofeedthepaperfor-

wardsor backwardsin smallincrements.

BUFFERCLEAR/RESET

It is possibleto clearthebufferoftheprinteror to mtumit to its power-on

statusby usingthefrontpanelbuttonswithouthavingto turnthepoweroff

andon.Todothis,puttheprinteroff-line(pressthe[ON

L~.1 button),andthen

pressthe :-0N~i~~7buttonagain.Beforereleasingthe (“~~ button,hold

downthe

“F!NT button.Releasingthe (:0~~1buttonwithintwo secondsof

holdingit down(beforereleasingthe C

ON.LNSIbutton)willclearthedatain

the buffer.Releasingthebuttonaftertwo seconds(again,beforereleasing

the @~-’ button)will resettheprinterback to the settingsat power-on.

TESTAND MAINTENANCESETTINGS

The

printerisequippedwithanumberoffunctionstoassisttestingandmain-

tenance.Sinceitisanticipatedthattheywillnotbeusedveryoften,theyare

notdescribedhem,butin Chapter6.

However,briefly,theyare:

● A texttestprintmode

● A shorttestprintmode

● A longtestprintmode

. A hexadecimaldumpmode

● A bidirectionalprinttest
