PAPERHANDLING

The followingsectionsdescribethe waysin whichyou can controlpaper

feeding,etcby meansof the frontpanelcontrols:

Formfeed

formfeed can be achievedfromthe frontpanelin the followingway:

Put the printer off-line, by pressing the

ON.LINE button, so that the

indicatoris extinguished.

Press the

.!APEBFEEDbutton,andkeepit depnxsed.

Pressthe =‘ buttonmomentarily.

The paperwillthen moveforwardto the top of the nextsheet(fanfold

paper),or ejecta cut sheet.

Setthe printeron-lineagain(..

ONLINE.button)to resumeprinting.

Paperparking

Paperparkingisusefulifyouareusingfanfoldpaper,andyouwantto print

adocumentononeortwosheetsofcut-sheetpaper.Theprinter“parks”the

fanfoldpapersafelyout of the way,so thatyou do notneedto unloadthe

paper before inserting cut-sheet paper, then, when you have finished

printingon cut-sheetpaper, movesthe fanfoldpaper back to its original

positionso thatyoucan restat printing.

To usethis facility,followthe instructionsbelow:

Puttheprinteroff-line@ess the :-OWW‘button,sothattheindicatorgoes

Press the

{ET:::CT:PARK’button,sothat the fanfoldpaperis movedoutof the

paperpath.

Nowmovetheteleaselevertotherearoftheprinter(~ position)toselect

cut-sheetpaper(disengagingthe fanfoldsprockets).

Ifyoudonotmovethereleaseleveratthisstage,theprinterwillwarnyou

at‘thenextstepby emittinga continuousseriesof &ps.
